Services for the UnderServed (S:US) is partnering with L+M Development Partners, Apex Building Company and RiseBoro Community Partnership to develop a mixed-use campus in the East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn.

“I went to Brooklyn tech high school around the corner from here, I was born in Brooklyn hospital, so this project has a lot of meaning to me because its in the neighborhood I grew up in,” said Lee Brathwaite, the CEO of Apex Building Group.

“This is fantastic,” he says. “We have a fantastic team of predominantly minority and lead organizations to bring much-needed affordable housing to the Brooklyn community.”

The firms of Robert Horsford (General Contractor) and Harrison Rayford partner to implement a passive house design for twenty-nine homes at Balton Commons, 263-267 126th Street in Harlem. The site will include a coffee shop and a tech incubator company, Silicon Harlem, geared toward STEM enrichment and education for high school students.
